I am an independent licensed home inspector in Maryland.  I also do radon testing.  I do not do radon mitigation and I am not associated with any radon mitigation companies.  I have no reason to inflate the results of the test in an attempt to sell you other equipment.

Before you hire someone to do radon testing for you, understand these facts.  It's a law in the State of Maryland that any persons performing radon tests and charging fees for such services be certified by either The NEHA or the NRSB. Click here to see the language of the law.  I am NEHA certified. Click here to see my document.  Users of continuous radon monitors (CRM) must also prove their proficiency such as I have done. Click here to see that proof.

I use some of the most accurate and reliable testing equipment known. Hire me to test your home for radon and I'll give you accurate results.  No bull-promised.

The short term radon testing process takes 2 - 3 days.  Long term testing can also be arranged.  Long term testing is a minimum of 90 days and is highly recommended if you're not in a time constraint such as a real estate transaction.  Both services include deployment and retrieval of equipment, lab work (if needed), and results delivery. My rate for short term radon testing is $140.  If included with a home inspection fee, the rate is $90.  The rate for long term testing is $165.

Sample Reports - 1. results not requiring mitigation      2. results requiring mitigation
